International entity headaches and HR overload

Trusted by more than 5,000 contractors nationwide, JXX Insurance specialises in providing fast, affordable insurance solutions with same-day coverage and certificates. To meet growing demand, JXX opened a legal entity in Mexico to manage its customer service operations.

As the business scaled, the administrative and compliance demands of operating a foreign entity became difficult to manage. The Mexico-based team experienced recurring payroll issues, stemming from frozen business accounts that required in-person visits to resolve. Tax reporting also became more complex because of the foreign entity ownership status and a growing U.S.-based team. At one point, nearly 40% of JXX president Jon Grijalva’s time was spent managing HR and payroll tasks across borders.
