Remote's dedicated Data protection officer (DPO), supported by the Data Protection team, works closely with Security and Legal to proactively monitor applicable data protection regulations worldwide and ensure compliance.

Remote hosts data in Ireland, enabling personal data to benefit from the strong protection of the EU's privacy framework.

For international data transfers, Remote relies on adequacy decisions or protects transfers with safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF). Appropriate security controls are applied continuously to safeguard data in transit.

Remote has put in place robust internal policies and procedures to comply with GDPR and meet SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards; these are regularly reviewed and updated by both Data Protection and Security teams at Remote.

All Remote employees complete mandatory training on information security and data protection, including our specific privacy and security protocols during onboarding and at regular intervals. We provide department-specific training where required, together with ongoing company-wide data protection and security awareness programmes.

Remote is committed to upholding data subject rights in accordance with GDPR where applicable. Where GDPR does not apply, Remote handles data protection requests in line with the relevant local law.

Adhering to the accountability principle, Remote demonstrates compliance via thorough internal records and by supplying service-specific compliant documentation to clients. Remote issues a comprehensive Data Processing Addendum (DPA) and maintains a transparent Privacy Policy.

Remote designs and operates its services in line with privacy by design and by default principles to protect individual rights effectively. Embedding data protection across Remote’s business activities and services is a core priority.
