Remote’s dedicated Data protection officer (DPO), supported by the Data Protection team, works closely with Security and Legal to proactively monitor data protection rules worldwide and ensure compliance.

Remote hosts data in Ireland so that personal information benefits from the EU’s strong privacy protections.

For transfers outside the EU, Remote relies on adequacy decisions or implements appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF). Suitable security measures are applied at all times to protect data in transit.

Remote has implemented strong internal policies and procedures—regularly reviewed and updated by our Data Protection and Security teams—to meet GDPR requirements and SOC 2 and ISO 27001 security standards.

All Remote employees complete mandatory onboarding and regular training on information security and data protection, including our specific privacy and security protocols. We provide role-specific training where needed and run ongoing, company-wide data protection and security awareness programmes.

Remote is committed to upholding data subject rights in line with GDPR where it applies. Where GDPR does not apply, Remote handles data protection requests in accordance with the relevant local law.

Consistent with the principle of accountability, Remote demonstrates compliance through thorough internal records and by providing clients with service-specific compliant documentation. Remote supplies clients with a comprehensive Data Processing Addendum (DPA) and maintains a transparent Privacy Policy.

Remote designs and runs its services in line with the principles of privacy by design and default to protect individuals’ rights. Embedding data protection into Remote’s business activities and services is a core priority.
